First full day in norway

We were told to be awake by 11 as we would begin our tour of the town. We walked around and saw the bank, grocery store, shopping center, put all field, school, and much more. Rosendal is right on the water and this is our view from our porch.


After our tour we met our teachers for lunch at the town hall. We were provided pizza and coke! Not a lot of Pepsi products around. My teacher unfortunately could not make it but I meet a lot of nice people. The superintendent Asbjourn handed us two cell phones which we could use to call people in town. It was a rainy day and rather be soaked from the tour we were ready to get back to our cabins and get warm. We didn't have a lot of food in the cabin so we headed back to the grocery store. We each get 500 kroner a week for food, so four of us decided to put our money together and plan the meals. After we made our list our grocery shopping wasn't so bad. Our totally came to $600 kroner leaving us each with around 350. We don't live to far from the store but when you are carrying all the groceries back it feels like forever! The rest of the day we unpacked and got settled in to our new home.
